Workflow playground

Watch a workflow get through QuickBooks' bad days

Choose your own adventure with two made-up apps that sync with QuickBooks Desktop through QuBe Sync. Pick what goes wrong and step through it. When a run stops to ask a question, you answer it as someone at the office would, and the story follows your answer. QuickBooks Desktop runs on an office PC, where Intuit's Web Connector checks in with QuBe Sync to pick up work. Every step was recorded from QuBe Sync's real workflow engine against our QuickBooks simulator: the JSON, the qbXML, QuickBooks' answers and the webhooks are what it really sends.

Tillpoint takes wholesale orders for garden centers and collects their payments online. Its customer, Larkspur Garden Supply, bills landscapers from QuickBooks Desktop, so Tillpoint records each payment against the QuickBooks invoice and pushes new trade accounts in as customers.

Push trade accounts

A name a vendor already has

Tillpoint pushes two new trade accounts. One is Capital Freight, which QuickBooks already has as a vendor, and QuickBooks won't let a customer and a vendor share a name (error 3100).

In Tillpoint: 2 new trade accounts

These are real, shipped workflows

The invoice, payment and new-account workflows here are templates every QuBe Sync app can install. Try them against a simulated company of your own, with the same faults, from a free sandbox.
